Fundraiser Information
Starving Student Card/App may display your fundraiser name to the public so that they may support your group. You may request that your fundraiser is only accessible through the link or QR code that you share with people. Starving Student Card/App is not responsible for the exposure of your fundraiser name as once you share your link/QR code, those individuals may share it with additional people which is out of the control of Starving Student Card/App.
Group fundraisers may supply Starving Student Card/App with names of their group members so that group members may receive credit for their sales. Starving Student Card/App receives these names from the group leader, who is responsible for obtaining the necessary permission from group members and their legal guardians. The group member names are only available for public view after scanning the group’s QR code or clicking a group’s fundraising link. If someone purchases a Starving Student Card/App membership using a group member’s link (which includes the group member’s name), the group member name and link will be visible to the purchaser and the purchaser may share that link with others who would then be able to see the group member’s name.
If you no longer wish to fundraise with Starving Student Card/App or are concerned about the manner in which your fundraiser name or group member name is being displayed, contact us for help removing your fundraiser or renaming it to something you are more comfortable having publicly available.
Starving Student Card/App provides the first name and last initials of individuals to the fundraiser supported by the subscription purchase if applicable. In order to access this information, fundraiser leaders must create a secure password and log into their account to access reports which contain the first name and last initial of the purchaser. For example, if Jane Doe purchases a subscription to support Example High School’s Swim Team, the leader of Example High School’s Swim Team will be able to log in and see that their fundraiser has credit for a purchase by Jane D.
